How do my home’s utility service providers affect my financing options?

Eligibility for GoGreen Financing is based on utility provider. Nearly all California residents may use GoGreen Financing to purchase any item on the eligible energy measures list, but there are some exceptions:

  1. Customers whose only utility provider is PacifiCorp or Liberty Utilities are not eligible for GoGreen Financing.
  2. The following measures within a project are only eligible if the resident’s property receives electricity services from City of Palo Alto Utilities (CPAU), Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), Southern California Edison (SCE), or San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E):
    • Central air conditioning unit
    • Convection electric oven
    • Cool roof
    • ECM furnace fan
    • Electric tankless water heater
    • Evaporative cooling
    • Fan or motor control
    • Mini split ductless air conditioning unit
  3. If the residence receives electricity from PG&E, SCE or SDG&E but receives gas from one of the entities listed below, then the sum of eligible gas measures plus any financed home improvements unrelated to eligible energy measures may not exceed 30% of the loan:
    • City of Coalinga
    • City of Long Beach Gas & Oil
    • City of Vernon
    • Liberty Utilities
    • PacifiCorps
    • Southwest Gas
    • Propane or other non-utility source
